City break tours provide a great introduction to a country for those with limited time, allowing you to experience a condensed and intensified taste of the culture, people and history of the destination you're visiting. They can also work well as a stopover while you are en-route to another destination; as a short addition to a longer stay in another country; as a taster to a country with the view to visit again in more depth; or as longer stay for those who prefer to be based in one place.
Visiting one of the Middle East's major cities for a short break is increasingly popular, and also practical with flight times from the UK and Europe of under 5 hours and many major international airlines connecting to places further afield through Dubai and the UAE or via Europe. The capital cities of Cairo, Amman, Jerusalem and Beirut all have rich histories and a wealth of ancient historic sites and attractions to explore. In fact, not many cities in the world can boast better attractions than the pyramids and sphinx at Gisa on the outskirts of Cairo, or the heart and home of three of the world's major religions in Jerusalem.
We offer short break tours in all of these cities, and can customise them to fit around your available time and flights, also taking into account whether you would like a full, busy sightseeing itinerary, or more free time built in. Accommodation options are also varied, and can be tailored to suit your preferred style of hotel, and your budget, whether this be a boutique hotel in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv, a spa hotel by the Dead Sea just outside Amman, or a luxury 5-star hotel built around a former palace in Cairo.
Our set city break itineraries always include at least one guided tour to visit sites of interest like museums, tourist attractions and architectural sites of importance, and also allow free time to explore yourselves to enjoy local markets, restaurants and theatres, and to take time for a little souvenir shopping along the way too.
Some city breaks are offered on set departure dates with shared touring (normally starting Fridays) but all can be run privately as well.
